A well known and respected local Councillor, Gareth's action for the most vulnerable, defence of the greenbelt and leading the Council's response to Covid were all factors in his success.
As well as being Deputy Leader of Buckinghamshire Council, Gareth volunteers and lives in the community with his wife and three children. Having been a a debt coach with the charity CAP for years, he knows and understands the cost of living pressures. Gareth launched the Bucks 'Helping Hands' scheme, the largest provision of aid across the County.
Gareth brings a wealth of experience in supporting businesses and helped set up the first Buckinghamshire Jobs and Apprenticeships Fair in Chesham.
His background as a senior Managing Director in the City was invaluable when designing the local business grants scheme during Covid, the leading scheme of its kind across the country.
Gareth said '‘I am deeply honoured to have been selected and to have an opportunity to further serve and deliver for an area that has long been my family’s home. I will continue to listen closely to residents, work on their priorities and build a positive campaign to make Chesham and Amersham a great place to live and work.'
