In Gareth's first week as Conservative Parliamentary Spokesman, he met with senior HS2 management to take up concerns over recently planted trees at Jones Hill Wood being left to die.
Residents and Parish Councils were rightly furious at HS2 contractors for denying responsibility. We are very pleased to say HS2 management listened to Gareth and our local Bucks Councillors and agreed to rectify the problem. Your local Conservative team will make sure that HS2 is held to account over its environmental commitments.
As Deputy Leader of Bucks Council Gareth is fully behind our legal action to force HS2 to properly manage traffic flows. None of us wanted HS2. We will continue to champion the concerns of local residents whether it’s on the damage to the environment or the lorries on our roads and the damage they cause.
