We meet at our usual venue, the Amersham & Chiltern Rugby Club, Ash Grove, off Weedon Lane, Amersham, HP6 5QU. We enjoy a 3-course meal followed by tea or coffee. (You may bring your own wine or patronise the Rugby Club’s bar.) After the raffle our speaker takes centre stage. This month, former airline pilot Capt Kamran Irani tells us the story behind the bright yellow ‘Blood Bikes’, organised by the charity SERV (Service by Emergency Rider Volunteers). A free service, vital out-of-office-hours deliveries of blood, drugs, hospital equipment, X-rays, etc are made to the NHS and air ambulance charities. The cost is £25. To book a place, please see June entry.
